As regards general information relative to Lithos Confederation of Lodges, this was translated in English. However in accordance with the decision adopted by the General Assembly of Lodges, the administration of the Confederation is exclusively limited to the use of French and Dutch.
Freemasonry is by tradition a discrete society and so is Lithos.
We have, however, decided to communicate openly about our objectives and the role we want to play in society. We want to create a present day Freemasonry which, while remaining faithful to its symbols and traditions, is aware of societal problems.
The work of 'Lithos' members rests on two pillars: social commitment and improvement of the self.
Freemasons say that they are building the temple of mankind, meaning that they are working towards a better world. Moreover, they are convinced that each of us can become a better person by constantly questioning ourselves and by contributing to the progress of mankind.
Both aspects of our commitment are equally important to us: doing something, committing ourselves to a cause, is what we call 'work'.
